Even though this site is dedicated to birding sites along the west coast and southern Thailand, for good measure, I’ve decided to add some other interesting sites thoughout Thailand which I’ve visited in the past or were once former “stomping grounds” from my years prior to moving south. Some of the reveiws may be a little outdated (especially when it comes to my personal rating of the site) but regardless, I hope the basic information will be helpful to someone.
Again, these reviews are not too much of a priority for me so they may be slow in coming out. Perhaps I have not been to the site, or was not there long enough to make a thorough evaluation of the site, or perhaps I just never found the time to write up a reveiw of it. If so, please feel free to write me for information or just have patience and wait until I can post something.

Birding Sites in the Central Plains: This area covers from Kanchanaburi in the west to Trat in the east. Wide area, lots of terrain and plenty of great habitat. Normally it would be divided into the central, west and eastern seaboard, but its too much work for that, so please just bear with me on this one.
Birding Sites in the Northeast: Some of the worst places in Thailand for birding, competely devoid of life due to 5000 years of human habitation and cultivation. This expanse of arid landscape is generally devoid of anything living; most of the time, you may find yourself eating what you had hoped to see alive. There are, however, a few forgotten gems of glory which are worthy of your time. Proceed with care.
Birding Sites in the North: The north is by far the best and richest birding region in Thailand; don’t let anyone convince you otherwise. Birds are everywhere and are generally friendlier than in other parts of the country. Those with asthma or respiratory problems steer clear of the area in the summer when the locals burn the countryside.
