Background: Ike was introduced to birding by Peter Ericsson back in 1998. Most of his birding has been done in the north (Chiang Mai) or in the south (Phuket, Phang Nga), where he has lived for the past eight or so years. A nature lover and father of four, he spends most of his time involved in charity work and projects for children or the disadvantaged.
Notable Quote: “I only got into birding by chance. I had no money to spend on books or binoculars so I assumed it wasn’t meant to be. Then one day, my neighbor asked if I was interested in a pair of 8×40 binoculars from Australia. The next day I found 800 baht (the exact amount needed to purchase a feild guide) in the trash near Chaing Mai zoo.  The rest is history.”
